Our Commitment

Stock Up is built with privacy at its core. Your recipes, pantry inventory, and meal plans are personal, and they should stay that way. We designed Stock Up so your data never leaves your control.

The short version: We don't collect any data from you. Everything stays on your device or in your personal iCloud account.

What Data Stock Up Stores

Stock Up stores the following data that you create:

  • Pantry inventory - Ingredients you add, quantities, expiration dates, and storage locations
  • Recipes - Recipes you save, including ingredients, instructions, and photos
  • Meal plans - Your weekly meal planning data
  • Shopping lists - Items you add to your shopping lists
  • App preferences - Your settings and preferences within the app

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored in two places, both under your control:

  • On your device - All data is stored locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
  • In your iCloud account - If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account to sync across your Apple devices

We have no servers. We cannot see, access, or retrieve your data. It belongs entirely to you.

Camera Access

Stock Up requests camera access for one purpose: to let you scan receipts and ingredients to add them to your pantry quickly. Photos taken for scanning are processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere.

Offline Mode

Stock Up works fully offline. The 500+ built-in recipes are included in the app itself, not fetched from any server. You can use the app without any internet connection.

What We Do NOT Collect

To be absolutely clear, Stock Up does not collect:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Location data
  • Any data for advertising purposes
  • Crash reports or diagnostics (unless you explicitly share them with Apple)

No Third-Party Services

Stock Up contains no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising frameworks. We don't use Firebase, Mixpanel, Facebook SDK, or any similar services. The app communicates only with Apple's iCloud service when you have sync enabled.

No Account Required

Stock Up does not require you to create an account. There is no login, no sign-up, and no personal information collection.

Data Deletion

Since your data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account:

  • Delete the app to remove all local data
  • Manage iCloud data through your device's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage

Children's Privacy

Stock Up does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The app is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we'll post the new version here with an updated date. Our commitment to not collecting your data will never change.
