Our Commitment

Castle of the Winds is built with privacy at its core. This classic RPG dungeon crawler is designed to be enjoyed without any privacy concerns. Your game saves and progress belong to you alone.

The short version: We don't collect any data from you. Your game saves stay on your device or in your personal iCloud account.

What Data Castle of the Winds Stores

Castle of the Winds stores the following data:

  • Game saves - Your saved games, including character data, inventory, and dungeon progress
  • Player progress - Achievements, statistics, and game completion data
  • Game settings - Your preferences for controls, audio, and display

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored in two places, both under your control:

  • On your device - All game saves are stored locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
  • In your iCloud account - If you enable iCloud sync, your game saves are stored in your personal iCloud account to continue playing across your Apple devices

We have no servers. We cannot see, access, or retrieve your game saves. They belong entirely to you.

iCloud Game Saves

Castle of the Winds supports iCloud save sync, allowing you to continue your adventure on any of your Apple devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account, encrypted by Apple. We have no access to your iCloud data.

What We Do NOT Collect

To be absolutely clear, Castle of the Winds does not collect:

  • Personal information (name, email, age)
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or gameplay behavior data
  • Location data
  • Any data for advertising purposes
  • Crash reports or diagnostics (unless you explicitly share them with Apple)

No Third-Party Services

Castle of the Winds contains no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising frameworks. We don't use Firebase, Mixpanel, Facebook SDK, Unity Analytics, or any similar services. The game communicates only with Apple's iCloud service when you have save sync enabled.

No Account Required

Castle of the Winds does not require you to create an account. There is no login, no sign-up, and no personal information collection. Just download and play.

No In-App Purchases

Castle of the Winds is a complete game with no in-app purchases, microtransactions, or premium currency. You buy the game once and own it forever.

No Ads

Castle of the Winds contains no advertisements. Because we don't show ads, we have no reason to collect data for advertising purposes.

Data Deletion

Since your data is stored on your device and optionally in your iCloud account:

  • Delete individual save files within the game
  • Delete the app to remove all local data
  • Manage iCloud saves through your device's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage

Children's Privacy

Castle of the Winds does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The game contains fantasy violence typical of classic RPGs and is rated appropriately in the App Store.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we'll post the new version here with an updated date. Our commitment to not collecting your data will never change.
